You’ve read about the creep clown spottings, you’ve seen the social media jokes, but this epidemic is spreading! Florida Today is now reporting it has spread to them.
Of course Juggalos and Insane Clown Posse get drug into the story every time, like we are the Clown Apocalypse… wait I just had a great Movie IDEA!!! I need to make some B movies i think!!
Anyway back to the story, as reported by Florida Today:
Seriously, though, what is it with clowns these days? The nation is riddled with reports of strange clown sightings, some of which are pretty ominous. In South Carolina, there were reports of people dressed up as clowns trying to lure kids into the woods. Police never actually spotted one, even on surveillance camera. Similar sightings occurred in North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Tennessee. Police never actually laid eyes on any of these bozos either. It’s almost like a big foot thing at this point.
Well, at least it was until Alabama and Kentucky came along. Those incidents actually resulted in the arrests. The Alabama clowns allegedly made a terrorist threat. The Kentucky clown was just hiding the in the woods being creepy. He got a disorderly conduct charge.
I know what you’re all thinking: How rude, right? All these other states trying to be like Florida man with our weird crime.
Well, don’t worry, Florida wasn’t about to let these clowns steal its thunder. A “creepy clown” was spotted in Palm Bay Sunday evening. A woman was walking her dog around dusk near the Victoria Park neighborhood when she saw two clowns just sitting in the woods staring at her. She sprinted home and called police. The clowns were wearing hobo-style clothes and “funky” hats, she said.
Police searched the area and alerted other agencies of the incident, but to no avail. The clowns, much like the other big foot situations, were no where to be found. There’s no real word on if this is just a trendy prank or an actual threat, so be wary.
All I can say is this: If I were you, I wouldn’t try to pull this stunt. Even law enforcement is warning that somebody could get shot.
