HE IS LEGEND TO RELEASE WHITE BAT ON JUNE 28 VIA SPINEFARM RECORDS

LISTEN TO NEW SONG “BOOGIEWOMAN”

North Carolina’s He Is Legend will release the new albumWhite Bat through Spinefarm Recordson June 28.  The album is available for pre-order here.

The band has shared the new song “Boogiewoman.” Listen here.

The band previously released the title track in late 2018. Listen here.

“White Bat is the purest, most passionate, and the most united He is Legend has been since we wrote It Hates You. I think this album has something for every fan of each chapter in our history,” says singer Schuylar Croom about the album, which is He Is Legend’s sixth full length overall and second for Spinefarm

The quartet — the aforementioned Croom, Adam Tanbouz [lead guitar], Matty Williams [bass], and Jesse Shelley [drums] — is bolstered by a cult fan base that includes members of your favorite bandMetal Injection made a salient point in their9-out-of-10-rating of their last album, 2017’s Few, saying, “Let’s cut right to the chase: He Is Legend is one of the most underrated and under-appreciated bands in all of metal.”

For White Bat, the band diligently worked across the country. Shelley recorded drums in Atlanta at Glow in the Dark Studios with Matt Goldman. Guitars and bass would be tracked at Warriorsound with Al Jacobs. Meanwhile, Croom ventured out West to reteam with Mitch Marlow for vocals in Los Angeles. Inspired by Michelle McNamara’s true crime classic I’ll Be Gone In The Dark, Croom wandered around the shadiest and most shadowy corners of the city of angels. Getting into a menacing mindset for the concept, he visited the grave of Walt Disney, canvased mausoleums, went to the Museum of Death, and “sat in crazy seedy little bars, wrote, and got into this headspace—like preparing for an acting role.”

Ultimately, White Bat “has a moodiness and heaviness we haven’t ventured into in a while,” according to Croom. “It’s conceptual. More than the content and concept, the music is representative of what we are now.”

He Is Legend are touring this spring. Dates are below.

VOLUMES RELEASE COMING CLEAN EP VIA FEARLESS RECORDS TODAY, APRIL 24

Los Angeles quintet VOLUMES — Myke Terry [vocals], Gus Farias [vocals], Diego Farias [guitar], Raad Soudani [bass], and Nick Usich [drums] — are primed to set heavy music ablaze in 2019 with their Coming Clean EP, along with an upcoming fourth full-length for Fearless Records.

Listen to Coming Cleanhere.

Following a successful headline tour and run alongside Born of Osiris, Volumes devoted nearly eight months to piecing together their next musical chapter. They recorded throughout Southern California, working out of Butter Studios in Venice, West Alley Recording Studios, and Farias Productions. Self-producing and keeping everything “in-house and organic,” they enlisted Kyle Black [Pierce the Veil, New Found Glory] and Max Schad [Veil of Maya] for an additional perspective.

Ultimately, Coming Clean represents a moment of clarity both personally and artistically.

“Some of us have struggled with depression or drug issues,” admits Soudani. “We’ve battled those demons personally and together and found a nice stability and substance. At the same time, we’re coming clean with ourselves. We’re men now. Life is more precious. The music reflects this honest idea of opening up.”

Volumes introduce this era with the bludgeoning banger “NO LOVE” [featuring Fronzilla] and it’s Volumes’ heaviest declaration yet with an uncanny assist by the Attila frontman and longtime friend. “It speaks on the idea of how we’ve come from the bottom and the dirt, but we’ve been here a long time, so you’re going to have to show some respect,” Soudani states. “We know where we stand. We’re asserting our identity. We’ve found ourselves and know what we’re doing.”

Elsewhere, “ALIVE” slips between the cracks of caustic guitars and punishing growls into a soaring clean refrain, “Am I alive?” Then, there’s “Until the End.” Evocative of what Soudani calls “the original Volumes sound,”it illuminates the dynamic range of their attack, seesawing back and forth from a visceral vocal volley into a harmonic reprieve.

Coming Clean is an emotional moment for us,” Soudani says. “I hope you feel something when you hear it and gain some perspective. This is Volumes. Coming Clean hints at where we’re headed in the future.”

COMING CLEAN EP TRACK LISTING:
“NO LOVE” (Featuring Fronzilla)
“hello goodbye”
“ALIVE”
“Revenant”
“Until the End”

It’s been a long time coming, but ABK and Big Hoodoo have finally dropped their first Hav Knots video, entitled “Watch Tha Evil”.

Along with the video comes the revelation of a new label, Ear Drug Musik, which would appear to have been better referred to as “news” all the way back in December. It would seem that The Hav Knots, as well as Kuma, are artists/groups either signed to or sponsored by the label, though I’m sure we’ll have more concrete information within the coming months.

Over on Facebook, Lo Key gave everyone the scoop on his new project coming out next week! Here’s all the info you need, right from the man, himself!

Been getting a lot of questions regarding the NIGHTCRAWLERS project, so let me jump on here and try to answer what I can!

Q: Is this a Lo Key album?
A : Yes, I am on every song. It is a collaboration project. Each track features 1 or 2 other artists.

Q: How many tracks will there be?
A: Around 20.

Q: Why was the album delayed originally?
A: Honestly, its just a massive project that took way longer to organize then I had anticipated. There are alot of moving parts when you are dealing with almost 40 different artists! But we made it work, and the extra time allowed me to really dial in the project so I’m glad it was delayed.

Q: How much will it cost?
A: It will be FREE to stream through my website, spotify, youtube etc. Paid downloads will also be available through iTunes and my website.

Q: Will there be hard copies or merch?
A: At this time there are no plans for hard copies, or merch, just a digital release.

Q: What style is the album?
A: It is an underground rap album that varies between themes and sounds. There is some horror stuff on there, some straight hip hop, some deeper stuff. But it definitely has a “sound”.

Q: How were artists selected? What is the goal of this album?
A: I created this album as a showcase for up and coming artists. Most of these people you have never heard of. I gave them a HUGE platform to show their skills, what they did with that opportunity was up to them, and you the listener will decide who killed it and who didn’t. At the end of the day, my goal was to introduce each one of you to a new artist you love, and I feel we will easily accomplish that.

Q: Will there be any videos?
A: There are no plans for video’s at this time, but it’s not out of the question!

Q: You stole this name from Chris Webby!
A: The track NIGHTCRAWLERS was recorded in late 2016, and released in February 2017, before his, which you can easily look up on YouTube. Stop reaching..It’s just a coincidence

Q: I heard like half of artists wound up leaving the project? Whats up with that?
A: Exactly one artist left the project. Again, stop reaching lol

Q: Favorite track?!
A: Really digging this one “Sad2Me” right now

Q: Will there be a sequel?
A: If you guys like the style of this project I’ll keep putting them together for sure.

Hope this clears up any confusion or questions you guys have! If I missed something feel free to drop me a line in the comments. 1 WEEK!!!!

And THE ENTIRE CAST, AND CREW IS DOWNRIGHT PHENOMENAL), and all of whom took time to get to know and understand us.
