ABOUT SKILLET:
Skillet has cemented their place as one of the 21st century’s most successful rock bands. Selling more than 12 million units worldwide, the Wisconsin quartet have received two GRAMMY® Award nominations and won a Billboard Music Award for the now double-platinum certified Awake. Their double-platinum single “Monster” was “the eighth most-streamed rock song of 2015” and currently has over 182 million plays (and counting) on Spotify, earning the distinction of becoming “the best-selling digital single in the history of Christian Music.” It continues to reign atop Billboard’s Christian Streaming Songs Year-End Chart. Their latest album, the RIAA Gold certified Unleashed, debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and houses the RIAA Gold Certified “Feel Invincible,” which went to No. 1 on the Rock Radio chart. Unleashed is the fourth consecutive Skillet record to receive certification of either gold, platinum or double platinum. Nine of Skillet’s songs have received RIAA distinction coinciding with use by such powerhouses as WWE, Marvel, ESPN and the NFL to name a few. The band has been featured on Conan, USA TodayThe New York Times and more. The multi-platinum selling band garnered over a billion worldwide streams in 2018 worldwide.

ABOUT SEVENDUST:
In 1994, Sevendust first forged a familial tie amongst each other that translated into one of the most diehard audiences in the game. To this day, the connection between fans and the GRAMMY® Award-nominated gold-certified hard rock outfit only grows stronger. For their twelfth full-length and first release for Rise Records All I See Is War, the quintet—Lajon Witherspoon [lead vocals], Clint Lowery [lead guitar, backing vocals], John Connolly [rhythm guitar, backing vocals], Vince Hornsby [bass], and Morgan Rose [drums]—did the best thing they could possibly do to combat all of the division in the streets and on social media; they went and made a Sevendust record—just bigger, ballsier, and bolder than before. A trifecta of now-classic gold albums—Sevendust [1997], Home [1999], and Animosity [2001]— ignited their journey. Known as an equally intense and unforgettable live force, they’ve consistently packed houses around the world and decimated stages everywhere from Rock on the Range and Woodstock to OZZfest and Shiprocked! 2015’s Kill The Flaw represented a high watermark. Bowing at #13 on the Billboard Top 200, it scored their highest debut on the respective chart since 2010 and marked their fifth consecutive Top 10 on the Top Rock Albums Chart and third straight Top 3 on the Hard Rock Albums Chart. Most impressively, the lead single “Thank You” garnered a nomination in the category of “Best Metal Performance” at the 2016 GRAMMY® Awards, a career first.

THE HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES ARE BACK WITH RISE, ONE OF THE MOST ANTICIPATED ROCK ALBUMS OF THE YEAR!

ALBUM OUT JUNE 21 ON earMUSIC

LISTEN TO “WHO’S LAUGHING NOW” HERE

The Hollywood Vampires
return with new music in the form of their explosive second album Rise. Rock ‘n’ roll royalty Joe Perry, Hollywood superstar Johnny Depp, and shock rock icon Alice Cooper join forces once again for the unmissable rock album of 2019. Rise will be released June 21 via earMUSIC. Pre-order here. Listen to “Who’s Laughing Now” here and here.

Seconds into the opening track “I Want My Now,” it’s clear this supergroup has created something special. The chemistry between the individuals is unmistakable when they come together on stage or in the recording studio. Forget the individual reputations of the star-studded lineup. Risefeatures some of the purest, most unapologetic, and most enjoyable rock ‘n’ roll of the year — made by masters of the craft and true fans of the form.

Unlike their 2015 debut record, the new album Rise, produced by Tommy Henriksen and the band, consists mainly of original material written by the band. However, in the spirit of the Vampires’ original mission, there are three covers of songs originally written and recorded by some fellow rockers who died far too young: an intimate and intense version of David Bowie’s “Heroes,” beautifully performed by Johnny Depp; the late Jim Carroll Band’s “People Who Died“; and Johnny Thunders’ “You Can’t Put Your Arms Around A Memory,” sung by Joe Perry.

Raucous rock anthems like “The Boogieman Surprise” and first single “Who’s Laughing Now” capture the natural, raw, and celebratory attitude that The Hollywood Vampires displayed in their rowdy shows around the world. However, the album shows off their range as well with tracks like “We Gotta Rise“— a tongue-in-cheek politics song in the tradition of Cooper’s “Elected” — to the psychedelic gothic epic of “Mr. Spider.”

Rise is not only a totally different animal than the first Vampires album, it is unique to anything I’ve ever been a part of,” says Cooper. “I approached it very differently than I usually do when working on an album. Each of us; Joe, Johnny, Tommy, and myself have written songs on this album. What is different though is that I didn’t try to change any songs to be more ‘Alice-like.’ Because each of us has different influences, the sound of this album is very cool. I think that with this album, we are establishing what the Vampires’ sound really is, whereas with the first album, we were more tipping our hats to our fallen rock ‘n’ roll brothers.”

Perry says, “Rise came from pure creative energy, which is just like playing live with the Vampires. The record showcases everyone doing what they do best without anyone looking over our shoulders. There was no pressure or deadlines, allowing us to write and record an album that is one of the freest and most honest sounding records I’ve been part of. I can’t wait to perform some of these tunes live for our fans.”

The band is also embarking on a short tour this May. Dates are below.

Taylor Schilling was the guest on Conan O’Brien Monday night. She was on there plugging the film ‘Family,’ the film that all us juggalos have been waiting for to hit theaters. While talking about the film, Taylor talked about her experience with the juggalos in Atlanta. She had nothing but nice, kind things to say about us, and how we truly are. She talks about our inclusiveness and love for all, no matter what. But, I’m not going too carry on, I’ll let you watch for yourselves.

As you may have heard, Suburban Noize Records is in somewhat of a revival stage, and who better to lead the flight out of the ashes of what was once thought long gone, than the group who was at the forefront of the label for so long, the Kottonmouth Kings!

The Kings have announced that they will be heading out on tour beginning this Friday, April 19, at The Canyon in Santa Clarita, CA!

As of right now, it’s not entirely clear who the lineup consists of, but only two days and we’ll have those answers.

Also a part of the Suburban Noize revival are former labelmates Big B, Chucky Chuck of DGAF, Underrated of Potluck, hed p.e., Madchild and Swollen Members, Saint Dog, Moonshine Bandits, and more!

SILVERSTEIN’S REDUX: THE FIRST 10 YEARS OUT TODAY

ALBUM FEATURES ALL NEW RECORDINGS OF 12 CLASSIC SONGS FROM THE BAND’S FIRST DECADE

BAND TOURING WITH AUGUST BURNS RED THIS SUMMER

Canadian rockers Silverstein have released Redux: The First 10 Years today, April 12.

Redux: The First 10 Years features all-new recordings of 12 classic songs from the band’s first 10 years as a unit. It’s essentially a “sonic update” of some of the most beloved tracks in the band’s catalog. It’s available on CD/vinyl and streaming everywhere digitally here.

“The goal was to update the recordings and make them sound the best they can — not change the songs from what has made them resonate with people for so long,” says singer Shane Told. “You’re going to hear the clarity and dynamics in a new way, but the magic of the original songs is kept intact. It’s going to be fun for fans to crank these up and really hear the songs the way they were meant to be heard.”

He continues, “We chose the songs that we thought needed the most in terms of a sound update, and also which songs have spoken to our fans the most. Re-recording ‘Bleeds No More,’ a song I wrote in my bedroom 17 years ago, was a very cool experience as well, as was remembering the entire Discovering the Waterfront recording experience.”

“I remember writing these songs in basements, demoing them with friends, and testing them on the road,” reflects drummer Paul Koehler. “Starting as a hobby, then given the opportunity to fulfil a dream, and all of sudden finding myself in the middle of a real music career. These songs are a cross-section from the early material that helped define our band, along with my own life.”

“After so many years, it’s a lot of fun for me to revisit these old albums and be transported back in time to when we were creating them,” says guitarist Josh Bradford. “Even through the rose-colored lens of nostalgia, it’s hard not to notice how much recording technology has changed and how much we have grown as musicians in the time since. With this in mind, we’ve decided to give a selection of our favorite tunes a sonic update. These songs clearly mean a lot to people, so we’ve tried our very best to honor the original recordings while making them sound more modern and polished.”

Guitarist Paul Marc Rousseau furthers, “These updated versions breathe new life into songs I’ve loved for as long as I can remember. Our goal was to put some polish on old performances while staying faithful to the original arrangements, and though it was challenging deciphering some of the forgotten and buried parts. I had a great time doing it.”

According to bassist Billy Hamilton, the release is special because it’s the connective tissue between the band and fans. He shares, “The great thing about this collection is that it’s not just mine, it’s not just Silverstein’s. It’s yours, it’s all of ours, and this is our chance to revisit our cherished songs, memories and feelings.”

REDUX: THE FIRST 10 YEARS TRACK LISTING:
1. “Smashed Into Pieces”
2. “Smile In Your Sleep”
3. “American Dream”
4. “Bleeds No More”
5. “My Heroine”

The Gathering isn’t the only festival happening this summer. The newly debuted Sonic Temple (taking the place of Rock On The Range) is set to kick off May 17th at MAPFRE Stadium in Columbus, Ohio. The lineup is MASSIVE! Boasting the likes of Foo Fighters, System Of A Down, Disturbed, Papa Roach, Lamb Of God, and many more!

Tonight though, I’d like to get everyone hip to a band that will be there, Fever 333! This is a band that has been setting stages ablaze since their inception almost two years ago. Their blistering mix of Hip Hop, Punk Rock, and Metal makes for a sound that will stick with you well after you’ve finished their CD. I’d like to personally think of them as the RATM, but that’s me.

Their debut 7 track EP, titled ‘Made An America’ dropped on March 23rd 2018, featuring the singles “We’re Coming In” and “Hunting Season” which features drumming from Travis Barker. Fueled with political and socially charged lyrics and themes, Fever 333 are taking a stand against injustices and inequality, as well as ignorance and hatred, and they’re doing it with passion and fury.

On January 18th 2019, Fever 333 would release their full length album, ‘Strength In Numb333rs’. An album full of passion, anger and anthemic charges that make you want to raise your fist. The Albums lead single “Burn It” was the perfect introduction into what the album had in store.

I highly recommend you giving this band a chance, you might find something you’ve been missing all along.

Check out Fever 333 at Sonic Temple and on tour.
