Broken Land Festival 2021

Broken Land Festival Comes to Break Down Brooklyn

By: Sully Smith

On Saturday, October 23rd, a music fest of unrelenting proportions comes to Brooklyn, New York in the form of Broken Land Festival. This is a one-day festival presented by Beheading the Traitor and Mortus Viventi featuring some of the best up and coming bands in hard rock and heavy metal, but also comes with some unique additional offerings as well. With tickets on sale for a very affordable rate, this is one fest to make sure not to miss.

Headlining Broken Land Festival in 2021 is post-hardcore quartet Picturesque. From Lexington, Kentucky, these guys have developed a major following through their EP series and intense live shows. Leading up to them on the bill is a bevy of hard-hitting heavy metal bands such as Bodysnatcher and Left to Suffer. However, there’s also fantastic diversity on this bill, as bands such as Dropout Kings, Mouth For War, Awake at Last, and VRSTY have gained significant traction on more mainstream circuits in recent years. And let’s not forget Juggalos, Psychopathic’s Super Ninja Extraordinare, Ouija Macc will be testing the fucking building down, and leaving nothing but rubble.

With a good selection of local bands as well, the variety on the bill promises something for everyone while the quality of talent makes attendees want to come early and stay late.

While the bands are the main attraction at the festival, they are far from the only thing worth going for. For tattoo aficionados, longtime artists Tim Sosler and Nick Graves will be doing artwork for paying patrons throughout the day. Additionally, look for some very cool, exclusive merch from Mortus Viventi to go along with the festival, as they are known for their incredible sense of style and are sponsoring the show. With this being in the middle of Brooklyn, look for some excellent local food and drink options as well.

Overall, Broken Land Festival promises to be a day full of rage and fun in Brooklyn. With a great selection of up and coming rock and metal bands, there is something for everyone throughout the day, and the options such as top notch tattoos and merch make this a well-rounded event as well. Taking place at the Brooklyn Monarch at 23 Meadow Street, tickets are on sale now for the very affordable price of $46.20. For fans of today’s hard rock and metal, this is a great festival to attend and a perfect way to spend a Saturday.
