It’s that time of the month again. No. Not that time of the month. I’m talking about the time of the month where we show case some of the hottest females in the Juggalo scene. True, most juggalettes are both beautiful inside and out. If we could there would be a photo shoot with each and every one of the lettes lo’s drool over. Let’s face it. We just had to narrow it down to who we personally thought were the right ones to feature here. To us, to be Juggalette Of the month, you have to be special.

Name: Kitten Envy
Age: 22

Facebook Page: Kitten Envy

How did you first get into the wicked shit?:

My police officer father showed me ICP, and it was Piggy Pie.

Who are your favorite artists to listen to in your car or around the house?:

Twiztid, Rydas, and A.Z. The Fallen.

kittenenvy-4

Why do you think you can identify with horrorcore music?:

Its brutal and funny

Whats your favorite thing about being a Juggalo?:

Trolling other juggalos.

What is your most memorable show that you have attended and why?:

My most memorable show would be my first Twiztid concert. I was front row, taking pictures and Madrox looked down dumping his water bottle on everybody and it was like we both realized shit, the camera. Lol it was too late. But he lifted his charm and pointed to my serial killaz charm and said dope.

Hey ninjas Hanka and Hashly here with another fresh tour review. This time it’s the “Family Fun Time Tour” Featuring Big Hoodoo, Boondox, and ABK!

This review will be pretty personal, because this show happened to fall on 12/3 which is my (Hanka) fathers birthday. He passed in 2006 so him being someone that helped me get into psychopathic this trip was in memory of my favorite juggalo, my best friend… My Dad.

Hashly and myself started out on our trip from Hendersonville NC to Spartanburg SC. We arrived at the venue, Ground Zero which I (Hanka) have seen many a show over the years. It’s a nice little venue that makes for intimate shows and the workers have always been really cool to the juggalo community.

Now this night started off really different. This was a tour stop that has a lot of confusion surrounding it. We don’t know the full details but it was a show, then it was canceled, then it was back on again. When we got there something was off though, no cars, no artists, nothing but a few lone venue workers. When the artists showed up there was a feeling of tension and uncertainty, we honestly felt like there might not be a show tonight.

With that we walked into the doors, to grab a drink and start setting up equipment, as we set up we noticed a few more juggalos trickle in. Not including staff members once we finished setting up there were 9 people inside the venue. But we also noticed they started loading in set pieces, ninjas…. We Have A Show! Hashly got a meet and greet backstage as usual, while I stayed out front and enjoyed a beer in memory of my dad.

Local Support: Ninjas Den Entertainment artists J-Pop, Genocyde, Jiggzaw. Neither of us knew much about the local support, but they came out with nothing but family love. Even with a small technical difficulty they powered through like professionals. Whoop Whoop to them! Keep it up ninjas!

Act 1: Big Hoodoo. Coming out with the Detroit wicked voodoo, Hoodoo hit the stage and made the now growing crowd get hype. Hashly and myself are just now getting to know hoodoo. From what we have seen at gatherings, and now this show we are looking forward to hear more from from him. Hoodoo brings a genuine and passionate performance every time he hits the stage as far as we’ve seen. Hoodoo came out, and he set the bar for the rest of the night!

Dont sleep on Hoodoo juggalos!

GetHashly Photography

Hashly and myself stepped away from the stage before act 2 started, we went outside to get some air, and just mengled amongst juggalos.

Hashly: Went on a quest to get group pictures of the crowd. They surprisingly acted afraid of the camera and slightly standoffish. I didn’t feel welcomed. I got the picture I wanted and walked away. Not gonna beg anyone to be my friend but I will never stick around to be treated like I’m not wanted. It was very disappointing to be treated that way at a juggalo event but at least the artists made up for it by hanging out and chilling after the show.
Act 2: Boondox. The Scarecrow has returned to Spartanburg. When Boondox hit the stage the vibe picked up and the crowd started to get live. Boondox came out hitting hard with a mixture of old and new. From the second Boondox stepped out he had everyone singing along, he had complete control over the audience. The Scarecrow came to make noise, and with the help of the family he did just that.  It was good seeing all the juggalos singing every lyric from harvest to abbadon they were all on POINT.

As many times as I’ve (Hanka) seen Boondox this was the most intimate show I’ve seen him at. He made sure that the ninjas that did show up didn’t leave disappointed.

GetHashly Photography

Act 3: ABK. WARRRRRIORRRRRRS!!!! When you hear that you know the native homie ABK is not far behind. The crowd is pumped this is what the night has been building up to. Like a bullet from a gun ABK runs out on stage with some old flavor. Ya Nedens Haunted. I’m (Hanka) geeked, from there he kept the energy high like a native with a peace pipe.

When Killa is on stage he’s up there to give you a show, to keep it moving and to make your emotions run wild. With so many different songs in his arsenal, he started old, and bounced around even played a little native funk. Killa made sure that all the juggalos in the house were having a good time and treating it like a party like he always does. He slowed things down for the song One Last Chance and Hoodoo even came out to help sing it.

For me (Hanka) this song was a tough one to listen to and sing, but with tears in my eyes I powered through it with the help of the juggalos. Dad was in the building helping me with that. The raw emotion in that song hits so hard everytime I hear it but in person it’s much more emotional.

And just when you thought killa was done, he came back on stage to drop one more fresh song… a new song with hoodoo and we even had Santa Claus drop by for a little holiday cheer passing out presents and hangin with the juggalos.

That was the perfect way for killa to end this show.

abk

After Killa left the stage most of the crowd dispersed, but Hashly still wanted a few pictures so we stuck around. We checked out the merch table got our pictures and headed to the bar to share a drink with everyone.

The Owner, and the bartender at this point were VERY cool… they could have shut down the bar but they kept it open and let us all chill, drink, and just reminisce of past memories. The bartender gave away shots on the house (Jager on the request of Killa, Boondox did not partake he enjoyed himself a nice coke) We all sat around and just shared our favorite gathering memories, and then Hashly let them know about it being my dad’s birthday so we all had a drink in remembrance him. That was beyond special to me. Hashly made note of how at this past gathering “Fuck her right in the pussy” was a huge thing, so the owner of the bar Mick put “fuck her right in the pussy” videos up on the TV for us all to watch, to which Hashly suggested that we make one of our own. All the guys were totally down with this. Hoodoo unfortunately was outside removing his paint so we didn’t get him in on it. But we made the video, Boondox who just happened to have a hoodie was almost perfect for the part… Hanka suggested sunglasses and boondox was now PERFECT. After the drinks and the video we all migrated outside to say our goodbyes.

We wanna thank Mick and everyone at all of ground zero for being so cool and allowing psychopathic to come back to South Carolina.

We wanna thank Big Hoodoo, Boondox, and ABK for putting on a hell of a performance and for kicking it with the juggalos after the show.

We wanna thank True Juggalo Family for allowing us to share our experience sorry for the book but like we said very emotional night.

Hanka wants to personally thank, Killa for the beer, and for the toast to my father. I really appreciate that! And a HUGE thanks to Hashly for helping me with this emotional day… without her none of this would have happened. You’re the shit!

Hashly wants to personally thank, Killa for the free drinks, my kidneys are not happy but I am! Thanks to all of you for bringing nothing but love and jokes all night. Tried my best to make you laugh too!

Hallowicked has become a staple in the years activities and the unique one of a kind end to a month of festivities for Halloween. For any Juggalo in attendance, it is a rush like no other seeing Insane Clown Posse in their home town of DETROIT. While I can’t say I have been every year, since Nebraska is quite the journey, I am proud to say it is the fourth time I’ve made the sacred trek to the homeland to attend Hallowicked. This year was mandatory with it being the 20th annual and them announcing the third face in the second set of Jokers cards.

After an amazing start at Fright Fest the night before, anticipation was growing to get to the Fillmore for the show. Several hours were spent helping fellow Los and Lettes get all primped and pressed, of course with face paint and fake blood, for the evening. Soon it was time to head off to the downtown destination.

Now in being an avid traveler, specifically to ICP events, I have had the fortunate privilege to see nearly a fourth of the country including numerous large city downtown areas. DETROIT, you are killing me! The amount of construction, detours, map confusion and consistent “recalculating route” notions were vast and frustrating. The saying “go home DETROIT, you’re drunk.” came to mind on several occasions. Finally, we made it to the Fillmore and got parked. Hazin and I waited to get checked in and able to go into the venue. It was cold, rainy and the wind was enough to start a debilitating ear ache after only several minutes of direct contact. The decision to skip the line soon took over, I mean realistically, there were two lines for men and women, so I didn’t really cut.

Once inside, the ailments of the weather quickly disappeared. I ran into Jumpsteady almost instantly. We chatted briefly and I got a hug. A few minutes later, I was able to reconnect and catch up with the man who makes it all happen on stage, Hammer, ICP’s stage manager. After running into several more long lost family, I soon headed down to the main floor to find a spot to park it for the evening.

Seeing as how I’m a very small person and Detroit at Halloween tends to be on the frigid side, I had remembered to bring my very large, furry coat. Once inside, I needed to find somewhere to either hide my coat for safe keeping or find a ways to secure it so I would not have to hold onto it for the duration of the evening. Thanks to the very well placed railings between levels of the main stage, I was able to be in the first landing corner and tied my coat in a knot around it. Now I was ready to party.

While waiting for the show to begin, I got to hang out with some far away friends; Curtis Bolt who has been an avid supporter of my Hannah Monroe writing page, Cassidy from Wolfpac, Justin “the pit” Litner and his girlfriend and family. There were numerous others as well! It’s always like a family reunion each time I make it up to Michigan.

The lights then went dark and out came Jumpsteady. I always enjoy his introductions because he is very vibrant in his speech and has the ability to draw each and every person into his story that sets the stage for what is to become. Each time he came out during the night, it connected each artist and fed the monster inside craving the horror and disaster of ICP on Halloween. Perhaps the best part of Jumpsteady’s speeches throughout the night was the clear and present reference to the childhood favorite movie, Goonies. He talked about it being “our time in here” and the rest of the world being on “their time out there!” It was powerful, relatable, and energizing.

The first person to grace the stage for the evening was none other than Big Hoodoo. Void of stage sets, theatrics or any other person to assist in his set; Hoodoo set the intensity level to be expected from each performer after for the entire evening. He was energetic, emotionally drawing, and entertaining. It may have been the best set I have seen live from Hoodoo so far.

Following Big Hoodoo, Jellyroll took the stage. I have had the pleasure of seeing him several times, between the gathering, home and a few other states. Tonight was the first time I’ve been able to stand still and be entertained but not enticed to dance. I think part of the reason was the songs I prefer were not played. Do not take this as a negative, I completely enjoyed his set, but instead of it encouraging me to move about and lose myself, I was more compelled to just stand still and watch him. His stage presence was captivating in a whole new way for me.

Madchild was next out to tear up the mic and he did exactly that. While I am not as familiar with his music, I was very interested in his energy and movement about the stage. Most artists who work around ICP are usually rather larger than life people, at least in stature. Madchild was this little dude wound up like a top finally set free. I may have had a difficult time seeing him on the stage due to me being short as well, but he was fun to watch bounce about. I know I now need to purchase his music and be sure to check him out when he comes my way. I would recommend the same for everyone else.

While I must admit I have never been a huge fan of the Mafia 6, there set was fun. They kept a happy balance of songs and energy to keep the night moving. Some songs were sad in tone but were quickly followed by something peppier. It was like a bipolar emotional roller coaster watching them.

Mushroom Head was next to take the stage and looking back on the night, I wish I had listened to my friends and went to get some of the 3D glasses they had for purchase. I have heard their music before but never had the opportunity to see them live. I was captivated and entranced by their show. The masks, the neon colors, the flying paint, all of it was used in perfect unison to create something magical. Had I had the 3D glasses, apparently it was supposed to make it look like the paint or water (whatever it was they used) was coming at you. I wish I could have experience it first hand. Anyone who has the opportunity to see these guys live, take it!!!

Finally the night was coming to a close, but before I get to the last part of this review, I must veer off on a tangent. The prior evening I discussed how Twiztid had been speaking and seeking their own recognition separate from psychopathic. Each artist with them really touched on this, especially Twiztid. Tonight, every artist paid homage and respect, with the label or not, to Twiztid and Blaze and everyone else rocking the wicked shit. I was reminded at this moment why I love these bands and why this is my Juggalo family. There is nothing but love and respect for each other. It filled me with joy and made the whole trip worthwhile and I hadn’t even seen the men of the hour.

Finally, Insane Clown Posse took the stage. The stage set was amazing. The mighty death pop face, two dunk tanks, lollipops and carved pumpkins, it was a site to be seen. The night rounded out with all the Halloween favorites, comedic routines through the songs between Shaggy and J, and faygo bouncing each and every direction. Perhaps the most usual song of the line up was them playing “Neden Game.” This however was the most comical and entertaining song of the night. Instead of going through the song as usual, Shaggy and J changed some of the words and actually had a faygo war with each other. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so hard in my life.

© http://hazin.me #Hazin

The only downsides to watching ICP tonight were the disconnects with the lighting and launching of faygo. I witnessed several people get hit in the face with nearly full faygo bottles due to the lights going out and them not seeing the bottle coming for their noggin. This was also perhaps the messiest year I have been to yet. They release cannons of confetti on the crowd. We are talking full cannons that could have fit a grown man inside them. There were streamers and balloons. It was pure magic with faygo to act as the glue to adhere it all to your skin.

© http://hazin.me #Hazin

Two other amazing moments of the night also came from ICP’s set. The first was the notification of the new Jokers card of the second set. The people around me and myself had started to notice prior to the unveiling there were two banners hanging above the stage. We could see the words (The Lost) and (The Found) at the bottoms of the banners but could only speculate to the rest. This began banter and excitement for there being two CDs to look forward to in the near future. Finally, it was time to show the world. Music started, the stage cleared and down the first banned came. The Missing Link: The Lost with the date April 28, 2015. The crowd cheered, whistled, whoop whooped. It was mayhem. Then, as we already knew, the second banner began to come down. The crowd full of Juggalo love erupted louder as they waited for the banner to drop. It got stuck a couple times then finally came down for all to see. The Missing Link: The Found July 28, 2015. Then quickly both banners rose back up out of sight.

Being with True Juggalo Family has become a privilege and responsibility I do not take lightly. Being present this night knowing I was the only one available to drop the info on our site, I quickly went to town snapping horrible quality pictures and getting the info out to the world of Juggalo family. This was an honor to be able to post first hand knowledge for ICP to the world. It was definitely something I never thought I would be able to do. Thank you all!

10526016_751290354937304_6765207045030762358_n

The second amazing surprise was a quick three song performance by the newest psychopathic group, the Killjoy Club. The music was awesome. They really blend well on the stage and the sound and lyrics of the music are fabulous. I wasn’t sure how the two groups would do coming together but it’s nothing shy of pure wickedness.

As the night came to a close, I watched in bliss as the faygo finished flying, the sound of balloons popping filled the air with gun shot replicas, and all the soaked fam started for the door. We found our homies and headed back to our hotel to clean up for the after party.

We made it there late and got to see ABK. He rocked the stage as he always does then had the fam up for his last song. Soon Hallowicked in its entirety was over. Now it’s time to prep for Ballas and Juggalo Day. Much love fam! See you all soon and as always, Keep Living It Wicked!

Halloween is always a lively and anticipated time of year for those who enjoy costumes, candy, parties, and everything wicked. For juggalos of all ages, attending Twiztid’s Fright Fest tour or hitting up ICP’s annual Hallowicked in Detroit, or for the lucky few going to both, can make for the best Halloween ever. Checkers and Hazin of True Juggalo Family set out on the long road trip to catch both shows for this 2014 Halloween season.

The first on the must see event list was catching Twiztid’s stop in Detroit Murderous for their Fright Fest tour, which ended the following night in Illinois. October 30 at the Majestic, Twiztid set out to represent for their newly announced label and true independence from psychopathic since their split two years ago. Approaching the event was like any other, find a place to park, hope you won’t get towed, hop skip and jump through magnitudes of construction…typical down town stuff in most big cities.

We approached the front of the line to check in for press (the tour had run out of actual photo passes, but George quickly told Hazin to go do his thing without it).  We entered the building and began doing what we do, Hazin snapping pics and Checkers taking it all in to write about it.

The setup was open and inviting but the entire venue seemed to be very poorly lit. This made it difficult to see around the room and find those long lost homies no ones seen since the Gathering or Juggalo Day. But as usual, we adapted and molded to our surroundings.   (Photographer Note: I excel in low lighting but this was pretty extreme)

The line up for Fright Fest was nothing short of a melting pot of styles and different kinds of music. There was rap, rock, and what can only be described as rap meeting dub step. The first three groups out; Neurotic November, Ajax and Defekt were a little rocky.

While the lyrics and music were decent, the sound was still having some issues and their full sets could not be fully heard by the crowd. Defekt had the most difficult set being first out, half of his lyrics could not be heard at all for the majority of it. He had good energy and did well to try to keep the crowd engaged despite the technical issues.

Ajax was the most different sound I’ve heard yet at s recent show. Dub step meets rap…the only way to describe it. While it would be nice to say it was a nice new experience, it was slightly disorganized. The majority of the music was not their own, while I know this works for many artists, it seemed unoriginal and rude to the original artists. The lyrics were decent at times but it was easy to tune out this set all together. No offense to Ajax and doing what you do, but would be nice to see some of your own original music. (I know I’m going to get heat for that, but it’s true.)

Neurotic November was great. The rock set in the middle of two rap artists was a nice change of pace. The crowd was beginning to fill in and the atmosphere was getting hyped in anticipation for Twiztid.

This show continued with the next several groups; the ROC, Kung Fu Vampire and Blaze Ya Dead Homie. It was good to see ROC again. It had been some time since seeing him live and on his own. He radiated energy and excitement. It was captivating and rejuvenating.

Kung Fu Vampire has always been the life of a party. On this night, he came out free of makeup and free of theatrics. It was just a normal guy doing what he does best. He even addressed this during his set as it had become apparent some were upset about this fact. He made a good point that it didn’t matter how he came out of stage because the music speaks for itself. While I did miss his makeup just due to it being Halloween, there were no disappointments in his performance.

Blaze Ya Dead Homie was the last remaining act before Twiztid. Blaze played all his usual faves and pumped up the crowd. I always lose myself when Blaze is on stage. The music is fun, lively, and a blast to dance to with thousands of other juggalos.

Twiztid came out in a ball of pent up ADD energy that just exploded when they took the stage. They always move around so much it makes it difficult to get a good pic with anything less than a thousand dollar camera. The set of songs was perfect, leading into each other with harmony and reason.

They stopped mid show to recognize their new record label. They then went into discussing how they have come up and are doing what they want. It was honestly something easy to block out because, much like the interview and videos recently put out there from Twiztid on their views toward psychopathic and juggalos etc. Personally, I just want to see everyone happy and doing what they love with no drama.

Twiztid finished up their set and it was time to clear out and head to the after party right next door. Now, I, Checkers, opted to not go to the sold out after party because of the four of us in our group, we only had three ways in. I stayed behind and Hazin left to the show. .

With the end of night one of the Halloween spectacular in Detroit, it was off to bed to rest up for Hallowicked.

——————————–

Hazin here – the after party was at capacity and I was politely bounced due to it, no pictures from the event, but from what I gather, Twiztid and Blaze played a brief ammount and that was the end.  Shorecrest was the place to be that night, I walked down and hung out with some old friends, chatted with some new friends etc, before turning it in for the night.

You can find the full collection of quality photos at:  http://hazin.me – but below is a slideshow of them.
