TWIZTID!
The Spooktacular Horror Show
Opening night 9/28
Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The Cabooze nightclub.

What up ya’ll? Minnesota Murd3r here to give you a rundown of Twiztid’s opening night show. Typical day in the concert life for me. I rush to get off of work, make the hundred mile trip up to the twin cities. Deal with some typical rush hour traffic. All to show up at what I consider Minneapolis’s stalest concert venue.

Now for whatever reason in Minnesota a weak ass 10person group always opens for Twiztid shows. I personally have zero fuckin idea how or why they do it! They must be friends with the promoters or pay out their ass to play. I don’t know! I just don’t have the answers to that question. Every time, it’s just so so stale. We want JPK to open or something different! Fuck! But anyway, for professional courtesy I’ll keep them nameless (remember kids this is only my opinion and it does not in any way reflect the opinions of Juggalo news). After all 37 of those fools got their shit off of the stage, a quick equipment swap, and Menace 2 sobriety was ready to light it up. These dudes kill!

I believe they are from Ohio and I’m pretty positive they’ve been at the gathering, but I don’t know for sure. Personally they remind me of this older punk/hip hop group called the Phunk Junkies. Fresh!
I dug their set. They covered some Yelawolf, which was awesome, they kept up a great high intensity energy throughout the allotted time and just kept moving through their set list. Personally I was impressed.
Punk/hip hop that’s what I would call it I guess. But what do I know? (Nothing?) I don’t know too much about them really. I’m gonna check out their discography in the near future it was just a great choice to get the crowd hyped up for the rest of the artists. If you like rock/rap/punk you NEED to check out Menace 2 Sobriety over at http://www.menace2sobriety.net

HOLD UP
in this section of the story
I wanna tell you how stale and unpractical the Cabooze is for a music venue. First off this club it 150 feet long 40 feet wide (guesstimate). Now with that said strictly from a design standpoint, where would you put the stage?

Long ways, right? Right.

Front to back.

Well fuck logic and reason. The stage is in the middle with 30 feet of front to back crowd space and a hundred feet of off to the stale ass side standing room. Fuckin stupid! They have some of the poorest in house lighting I have ever seen at a venue, It’s absolutely horrendous. It’s like 70s can lights with 1.21 watt bulbs (no not a gigawatt just a watt) LAME! If your planning on coming to Minnesota avoid the Cabooze and hit up Skyway theater.image1

Back on subject…
The stage swap outs were really fast. In less than 10 minutes Godz of Kaos were on and poppin!
With a raw raspy sound and devastating beats, these dudes are enjoyable as fuck to watch live they had a good solid set list with plenty of crowd interaction I think they even may have done a cover of Juggalo homies and that was awesome. You could tell the crowd was unfamiliar with the music but that didn’t stop anyone from getting down with a live DJ and great stage presence these guys will fit in anywhere they go in the underground
Rugged and raw was a great follow up to the Menace 2 Sobriety. Be sure to follow Godz of Kaos on Facebook and check them out and subscribe on YouTube.

Next up Lex the Hex Master

Now if you haven’t seen or haven’t at least checked out his music you’re sleeping on some talent.
Over the last year or so I’ve seen him a few times and each time his stage presence and abilities have improved. He can rap no doubt but at first he seemed off or uncomfortable on stage well I’m here to tell you those days are over. He had some technical difficulties with a couple different mics, but didn’t let it bother him he just kept rapping with or without a mic. He didn’t skip a beat. Once that staleness was fixed and a couple jokes later back to blowing people’s wigs back. Be sure to keep up with Lex on social media and pick up any of his albums over at twiztidshop.comimage2

Zodiac Mprint what can you say about Blaze and R.O.C.? Nothing. They are the shit with a sweet back drop and plenty of dope Juggalo favorites it always a special thing to watch. It was nice seeing Blaze in something other than that tired ass Casket Factory suit also lol. They started out with a few Zodiac tracks some new shit maybe it wasn’t new idk. Some solo Blaze as well as some solo R.O.C.
(side note)
I’ve always felt the R.O.C. has never really gotten the Juggalo love he deserves He’s a beast!
And him and Blaze just complement each other’s style perfectly.

Anyway they did a great set and if you haven’t scooped their new EP Ride the Stars, go get it over at twiztidshop.com

Now for the dude I’ve been waiting to see for a long minute or two Mothafuckin Mac Lethal!

If you don’t know this dude is the shit he’s gone viral several times over with the pancake rap. Literally he’s cooking pancakes and rapping the fuck out. He’s cover Obamas state of the union address and all sorts of crazy shit. He can rap, he’s incredibly intelligent, and produces a show on MTV called Binge Thinking. He’s been featured on tracks with Ces Cru and more recently Tech N9ne. If you don’t know about Mac where the fuck have you been? He’s, in my opinion, the most talented EMC to come outta KCMO. That’s saying a lot. Be sure to check out his insanely popular YouTube channel 500k subscribers (holy shit)! And all of his social media sites.

Now, as you can tell, I’m not a writer and really just vomit text onto a screen but if you’re still reading this……. Is anyone still reading this?

It’s time for TWIZTID!image3

Twiztid brought a sweet ass cage style lighting system that was covered up for everyone else’s performance.
Now with them about to start the crew comes out drops the black tarp in the middle of it all and there’s a fuckin drum kit! Whoa Wigs were blew the fuck back. Was the band gonna be there? NO, but Twiztid with a live drummer was awesome. The side tarps came down and there they are the demented duo opening up with…?

In Hell.

Actually they did a few songs off Darkness and, as always, they did a great mix of old and new. Although nothing off the Continuous Evolution of Life’s ?s. None the less they schooled it. Old New Boogie Man, We Don’t Die, Old School Pervert, and all the bangers you wanna hear. Some weed songs, some comedy, just a fresh mix of everything they know we want. They finished up with some soft heart felt LDLHA-IBCSYWA.
I do love that song but I feel they do it to close out shows too much these days. I was hoping for Renditions of Reality or I’m Alright because they have the Freaktasteless show in Denver.

But whatever, they didn’t disappoint. If you missed the opening night show in Minneapolis you fucked up!
should I say it again?
You fucked up!

If you can, be sure to catch Twiztid next month on their country wide Spooktacular Horror Show tour. As always keep an eye out over at twiztid.com ortwiztidshop.com for all of the upcoming freshness. And be sure to pre order The Continuous Evolution Of Life’s ?s dropping 1/27/17.

There it is my review of the opening night if anyone actually read it thank you

Back in August Tech N9ne launched the “Warrior Built” contest, inviting aspiring artists to take on Tech’s ‘P.T.S.D.’ track and do up their own version.

4000+ entries were submitted in the three weeks the contest was live and the winner has now been announced as being Blooming IL based rapper Jay Trilogy.

Jay Trilogy will now get the opportunity to record his version of the song at Strangeland Studios and even have a music video filmed for it.

What’s up ninjas! I had the pleasure of attending a very special one-off show by Zug Izland a couple of weeks back in Walsall England!

The event itself was organised by a Juggalo couple (shout out Bob and Jade!) who are friends with the band and took it upon themselves to raise funds and organise a dope-ass show across the pond! The venue for this show would be ‘Eerie Ink’; a tattoo parlour in the town of Walsall with a small concert venue out back. The setting was dope as fuck and much better than I expected when I first heard the show was taking place at a tattoo shop! Followers of our FB page may have caught my walkthrough of the venue to get an idea of the setting. The show was off the hook and each of the four local openers put it down with authority, before Zug Izland took the stage and brought big cheesy grins to many a Juggalo face.

The next day I was able to sit down with the band and scoop a video interview where they talk about putting out their own projects (not with Psychopathic Records), touching on topics such as Violent J’s statements in the new audio book, their Toxicology album being a “mistake”, touring, and confirming that they WILL be at the Gathering next year! Peep that out below:-

In a strange twist of fate, the event also happened to coincide with the release of their long-awaited new album ‘The Promised Land / Nebula’, which was available to purchase as physical copies for those who attended the show. After such a long gap since we heard any new Zug material, I have to say that I’m loving the new tracks on the album and can’t wait for the follow-up release(s)!

As a UK native, I can tell you that it’s a rare treat to have a group of Juggalos gather and fill the crowd for a show. We get the likes of Tech N9ne, Necro, Ill Bill, Vinnie Paz, Hopsin and others who roll through every now and again, but at those shows you’re never gonna have the crowd being 100% Juggalo’s and so this eventw will stand out in particular in my memory for that reason. Much love to the organisers and to Zug Izland for flying out and putting on such a cool show!

In a somewhat stale but thorough review over at:  INVERSE

Here are some snippets, you can click over to check out the whole thing on their site.

There’s no pressing need for a deck-building game featuring Detroit hip-hop duo Insane Clown Posse to exist. So, naturally, it does — and that is the very best thing we can say about it.

What I’m trying to say is “Into the Echoside” deserves a second look, but not in a good way.

“Into the Echoside” does gets one thing perfectly right, and that is its art, from cheerfully face-painted Homies to various sinister clown entities to the rubber demons of the band GWAR, who, frankly, deserve to be in every card game.

It dives a bit deeper, but it was pretty clear through they where not fans, and like most media – poke fun at the Juggalo World in general.  Pretty Stale.   I absolutely love the games artwork and layout – Wish I could play it more.  I have never been into deck building games before, but this one peaked my interest and got me!   -Hazin

I know one pod-cast I will never plan on checking out!!   You can check it out here to dish out any lashings or to give a listen:  http://www.danagould.com/happysad/

Spit Sider catches and reports on this refrence on thier article:  HERE

Chris Fairbanks and April Richardson take a sharp detour away from empathy and nostalgia to sharply mock Insane Clown Posse and its fans because, well, I guess that’s something apparently has to happen on all podcasts, lest Insane Clown Posse and their fans get above their raisin’ and forget, even for a second, that most people think they’re terrible. I admit, however, that as one of the world’s preeminent Juggalo defenders, I am a little hyper-sensitive to slight against members of the Psychopathic Records family.

As Reported by DreadCentral

Interview with Screenwriter Jeff Miller dives into the new movie Clowntown!   He drops a ICP/Juggalo Mention during the interview:

DC: What gave you the idea for Clowntown, and how did you describe their look in the screenplay? Did you envision them looking the way they turned out in the finished film?

JM: The Bakersfield, California, clowns that were in the news in 2014 gave me the initial idea. People were showing up dressed as clowns and carrying weapons and chasing a couple of people. In the script, we didn’t describe their makeup but did say they were in jeans or overalls or mostly regular clothes, not big shoes and rubber noses and such. I guess more like Juggalos (Insane Clown Posse fans), though I admit I don’t know much about them.

You can check out the whole interview on thier website:  http://www.dreadcentral.com/news/191311/screenwriter-jeff-miller-talks-clowntown-working-with-robert-kurtzman-and-gunnar-hansen-and-more/

I plan on watching this one, what about you ninjas?

You’ve read about the creep clown spottings, you’ve seen the social media jokes, but this epidemic is spreading!  Florida Today is now reporting it has spread to them.

Of course Juggalos and Insane Clown Posse get drug into the story every time, like we are the Clown Apocalypse… wait I just had a great Movie IDEA!!!    I need to make some B movies i think!!

Anyway back to the story, as reported by Florida Today:

Seriously, though, what is it with clowns these days? The nation is riddled with reports of strange clown sightings, some of which are pretty ominous. In South Carolina, there were reports of people dressed up as clowns trying to lure kids into the woods. Police never actually spotted one, even on surveillance camera. Similar sightings occurred in North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Tennessee. Police never actually laid eyes on any of these bozos either.  It’s almost like a big foot thing at this point.

Well, at least it was until Alabama and Kentucky came along. Those incidents actually resulted in the arrests. The Alabama clowns allegedly made a terrorist threat. The Kentucky clown was just hiding the in the woods being creepy. He got a disorderly conduct charge.

I know what you’re all thinking: How rude, right? All these other states trying to be like Florida man with our weird crime.

Well, don’t worry, Florida wasn’t about to let these clowns steal its thunder. A “creepy clown” was spotted in Palm Bay Sunday evening. A woman was walking her dog around dusk near the Victoria Park neighborhood when she saw two clowns just sitting in the woods staring at her. She sprinted home and called police. The clowns were wearing hobo-style clothes and “funky” hats, she said.

Police searched the area and alerted other agencies of the incident, but to no avail. The clowns, much like the other big foot situations, were no where to be found. There’s no real word on if this is just a trendy prank or an actual threat, so be wary.

All I can say is this: If I were you, I wouldn’t try to pull this stunt. Even law enforcement is warning that somebody could get shot.

As reported at HIPHOPDX

Strange Music is set to dominate the winter as Big Scoob announces his H.O.G. album, an acronym for “Hand of God.”

The LP is scheduled to drop November 4. The tracklist is made up of 16 songs and features Killer Mike as well as Strange Music boss Tech N9ne.

Big Scoob released the first single off H.O.G., “Bitch Please” with guest appearances from E-40 and B-Legit, last week.

This work, the Kansas City rapper’s first full-length release since 2011, is set to be his most personal yet.

“When Strange Music CEO Travis O’Guin asked me to come back and do this album, I figured it had to be the hand of God,” Big Scoob explains via press release. “Like, maybe this is something I need to do so I can get more popular with these youngsters to where they’ll listen to me more and I can get my message to ’em and let them know there’s more to life than the streets and rap. … I’ve lost a lot of close friends to the penitentiary, to homicide. So I feel like the fact that I’m still here, I have something I need to say. Even if I’m not in a point in my life right now where I’m giving all positive messages – you could hear me one day and I’ll be on nonsense and you hear me another day and I’ll be telling you something you need to hear, to remember forever – I’m a work in progress. Nobody is perfect, but I believe it’s a good thing that music is always there for me. That’s a blessing.”

This will serve as a prelude of sorts to Tech N9ne’s The Storm album, which is slated for a December release.

Check out Big Scoob’s H.O.G. album cover art below and pre-order the album atStrangeMusic.com.

So our homies over at Faygoluvers where able to ice out the details on that Hatchet Herald that people jumped to conclusions on and made social media explode with outrage.  Here is the current break down thanks to them.

  • A separate Gathering of the Juggalos WILL STILL HAPPEN!
  • They are STILL trying to find a spot in Colorado where it will all go down, but so far it’s been a bunch of dead ends.
  • If Colorado doesn’t happen, there are still spots in the country that have already said that they would love to host the Gathering of the Juggalos.
  • Even if it came down to it, and the Gathering and the March did happen at the same time, they would be separate events, making the march completely optional.

You can check out thier post:  HERE

A new post over at www.hatchetherald.com dropped today, updating us on upcoming Psychopathic events. The most interesting part that stands out is that there may in fact be no summer Gathering of the Juggalos that we’re used to. Although nothing is decided just yet, the article makes mention that we could see next years March on Washington double up as the 2017 Gathering. Peep the info below:-

I know J and Shaggy announced that next year’s Gathering was going to be in Colorado but it’s looking more and more like we might actually have no choice but to combine the two major events into one giant event and make The Juggalo March on Washington DC double as the 2017 Gathering of the Juggalos, because we know that most ninjas just cannot afford to attend them both. Especially with them being only months apart and on opposite ends of the country. This might be looked at as a major bone to some at first, but we here understand the importance of this March, as it is detrimental to our very Juggalo existence and our eternal legacy.

What do you think ninjas? Would you feel like you got the bone if there was no summer Gathering? Or do you think it’s better if it means that more Juggalos attend the March on Washington? Let us know in the comments below.

For the rest of the article, including more information about next years march, The Riddlebox Tour 2nd Leg, Hallowicked and Juggalo Day, check out the full Hatchet Herald by clicking here.

As Reported on the @ Battle Creek Enquirer – You can head there to see the full article, or the highlights about Juggalos and Video Games are quoted below.

The heavy metal band Dope has been working hard to rock for 16 years and they’re bringing that energy to Battle Creek.

Dope’s lineup has been an ever-changing list of hard rock musicians, but at the center of it all, founder and lead singer Edsel Dope has been keeping it going through touring, producing and getting their songs into Hollywood movies.

Dope will perform at The Music Factory, 191 Angell St., at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 30. The singer talked to the Enquirer about crowdfunded albums, video game fame and their mini-arena show, as well as answering a question from the previous subject of The Note.

You’ve had your music turn up in “The Fast and the Furious,” the WWE and Guitar Hero. What’s it like knowing someone’s out there playing a game where they’re trying to play your song?

“It’s pretty cool. I’ve always been into those touch points. I’ve always tried to get music into films and video games, and those other places that touch people. Guitar Hero itself is just a crazy game. But I was stoked. A lot of people found that song and found the band through that. Any opportunity for people to find the band and connect with a piece of music that we made, I’m all for it.

What is the experience of seeing Dope live?

“You’ll never see a more well-put-together show in the size of venue that we’re playing. I can assure you that if you like a live music experience, you will not see a more entertaining show in that venue than you’ll see for the Dope concert.

“We’re traveling with a hundred square feet of high-res LED wall. The production is sick. It’s pretty mind blowing, what we’re able to put on these smaller stages and the intensity that we’re able to capture with that. It’s like a miniature arena show put into clubs. That’s something we’ve put a lot of time and expense into making sure that it will be memorable for people.

“It definitely is hard one to walk away form and not go, ‘Holy shit, that was insane.'”

Because this is Michigan, I have to ask about the experience of playing at the Gathering of the Juggalos (Dope performed at the 2003 gathering for fans of the Michigan-born Insane Clown Posse)?

“We’ve always done good with the Clown fans. I don’t know if it’s our message or our middle fingers or what it is, but the Gathering was a lot of fun. The Juggalos seem to respond well to the message of Dope and our vibe.

“We’ve always connected in that circle, and Michigan’s always been a good market for us. A lot of fun and hopefully all the Juggalos will come out and give us their best ‘whoop whoop,’ which is spelled w-h-o-o-p, I believe. If you want to quote me, you can say we’re down with the clown.”
