New York Emcee Salty Brasi

Drops Some Comedic Bars In New “Sweet Tooth” Music Video

For Immediate Release

(September 24, 2021 — Los Angeles, CA) After signing with indie powerhouse Suburban Noize Records and releasing his single for “Warrior” online, New York-based emcee Salty Brasi has returned with his new single “Sweet Tooth” and a brand new music video to match.

The video was directed by Dylan Toon and shows Brasi indulging in some comedic bars, as

Charlie Mumbles plays maestro with a loungey, jazz-infused beat laced with some flamenco-style riffs.

“Sweet Tooth is one of my favorite songs and videos to date. It brings a comedic breath to the real emotions and frustration that come with love and heartbreak,” added Salty Brasi. “The hook, as simple as it is, perfectly expresses the way I was feeling during my own relationship troubles at the time. Through this song, I found it was healthiest to laugh about it [the relationship troubles] and bring some light-heartedness to the situation. When I perform this live, don’t be surprised to hear me yelling out my ex’s name during the set.”

More on Salty Brasi:

From humble beginnings growing up in Gary, Indiana, which was once dubbed ‘The Most Miserable City In America’, Brasi has put himself on the map, quickly drawing comparisons to the likes of Action Bronson and Lil Dickie for his filthy and humorous wordplay and diverse musical palette. After uprooting himself from Phoenix, Arizona, and transplanting his roots in New York City, Salty Brasi looks to take a page from fellow NYC emcees Nas, 50 Cent, and Action Bronson and channel the spirit of New York as the birthplace of hip-hop.

Now signed to Suburban Noize Records and residing in Brooklyn, an area that has produced some of the most influential rappers in the game, Salty Brasi is already turning heads with his unique twist on hip-hop that comes as a breath of fresh air.

Broken Land Festival Comes to Break Down Brooklyn

By: Sully Smith

On Saturday, October 23rd, a music fest of unrelenting proportions comes to Brooklyn, New York in the form of Broken Land Festival. This is a one-day festival presented by Beheading the Traitor and Mortus Viventi featuring some of the best up and coming bands in hard rock and heavy metal, but also comes with some unique additional offerings as well. With tickets on sale for a very affordable rate, this is one fest to make sure not to miss.

Headlining Broken Land Festival in 2021 is post-hardcore quartet Picturesque. From Lexington, Kentucky, these guys have developed a major following through their EP series and intense live shows. Leading up to them on the bill is a bevy of hard-hitting heavy metal bands such as Bodysnatcher and Left to Suffer. However, there’s also fantastic diversity on this bill, as bands such as Dropout Kings, Mouth For War, Awake at Last, and VRSTY have gained significant traction on more mainstream circuits in recent years. And let’s not forget Juggalos, Psychopathic’s Super Ninja Extraordinare, Ouija Macc will be testing the fucking building down, and leaving nothing but rubble.

With a good selection of local bands as well, the variety on the bill promises something for everyone while the quality of talent makes attendees want to come early and stay late.

While the bands are the main attraction at the festival, they are far from the only thing worth going for. For tattoo aficionados, longtime artists Tim Sosler and Nick Graves will be doing artwork for paying patrons throughout the day. Additionally, look for some very cool, exclusive merch from Mortus Viventi to go along with the festival, as they are known for their incredible sense of style and are sponsoring the show. With this being in the middle of Brooklyn, look for some excellent local food and drink options as well.

Overall, Broken Land Festival promises to be a day full of rage and fun in Brooklyn. With a great selection of up and coming rock and metal bands, there is something for everyone throughout the day, and the options such as top notch tattoos and merch make this a well-rounded event as well. Taking place at the Brooklyn Monarch at 23 Meadow Street, tickets are on sale now for the very affordable price of $46.20. For fans of today’s hard rock and metal, this is a great festival to attend and a perfect way to spend a Saturday.

Tickets are on sale now at www.dice.fm

Suburban Noize Assembles Posse Cut “Everyday” Featuring The King Klick (Johnny Richter, Chucky Chuck and Obnoxious), Whitney Peyton, Madchild, (Hed) P.E, And Dropout Kings

Since re-launching the legendary California independent label after a 7-year hiatus, Suburban Noize Records emerged and has been consistently dropping music with some of the new signings and the label’s veteran artists. Now the label has assembled a posse cut entitled “Everyday” produced by Godsynth that pairs up the entire Suburban Noize roster all together on one track including the King Klick, (Hed) P.E, Madchild, Whitney Peyton, and Dropout Kings. The track features the Suburban Noize roster over a distorted guitar riff that brings together the battle tested veterans and new blood of the next generation for one epic rap-rock crossover track. The song is a call-to-arms for anyone that has had to overcome adversity and a helping hand to raise up anyone that has fallen on hard times.

WATCH “EVERYDAY” ONLINE: https://youtu.be/-6eXLcultvo

“After the success of the release like (Hed) P.E and King Klick’s ‘We Want It All’, we felt like everyone was talking about Suburban Noize again, so we knew we had to follow that up with something even bigger,” commented Kevin Zinger from Suburban Noize. “Whitney came to us with this Godsynth beat and her part. When we circulated it around everyone wanted to jump on it. Suburban Noize was a label at the forefront of mixing together all genres and coloring outside of the genre lines from rock and metal, Punk to hip-hop. An entire wave of new bands are popping up and blending genres like we did 20 years ago. It was time to bring Sub Noize back and the label has found its place again with some new and OG artists. Posse cuts aren’t as common as they were but I still think it shows unity and is a special thing. It made perfect sense to create one big blockbuster crossover track with everyone on it.”

“Everyday” is available now on all digital platforms.

Proving that she could go head-to-head with any of the hip-hop heavyweights on her Suburban Noize debut “Alpha”, Whitney Peyton has remained on the grind dropping new tracks. She recently flexed her impressive lyrical prowess “Give It Gas” featuring Dizzy Wright and Strange Music’s own King Iso.

The King Klick is the latest powerhouse collective to come back under the Suburban Noize banner. Comprised of label veterans Johnny Richter (Kottonmouth Kings) and Chucky Chuck and joined by Obnoxious (AKA OB-NOX), the unison created the perfect blend of THC-infused raps. United together under the name King Klick, Johnny Richter, Chucky Chuck, and Obnoxious are currently finishing the debut effort from The King Klick for release later this year. The trio have already recorded tracks with Madchild, Whitney Peyton, (Hed) P.E, Lil Saint, and other members of the extended Suburban Noize family.

In between hopping on tracks with the other members of the Suburban Noize roster, legendary SoCal artists (HED) P.E. are building towards the release of their upcoming new album “Sandmine”, which is set for release on July 23rd, 2021 via Suburban Noize Records. The album is a potent mixture of poignant punk-rock, metal, Rap, brutal riffs, and bludgeoning drums that pack a walloping punch and goes back to the classic HED PE sound.

Madchild’s independent grind is unparalleled and he’s remained one of the underground’s vital voices, consistently dropping new projects with Tom MacDonald, as well as solo albums like “Demons” and “Little Monster”. Madchild is also currently working on a new joint project with Obnoxious for release later this year.

Phoenix-based trap metal outfit DROPOUT KINGS have hit the ground running since releasing their “GlitchGang” EP. The band is currently charting on active rock radio with their new single “Virus” and will be heading out on the road supporting (Hed) P.E this summer.

P.O.D. RETURN TO THE ROAD

BAND ANNOUNCES “SATELLITE” 20TH ANNIVERSARY HEADLINE U.S. TOUR

FROM ASHES TO NEW, ALL GOOD THINGS, + SLEEP SIGNALS TO APPEAR

BAND REISSUING CLASSIC ALBUM SATELLITE WITH ADDITIONAL RARITIES, REMIXES, + MORE

P.O.D. — Sonny Sandoval [vocals], Marcos Curiel [guitar], Traa Daniels [bass], and Wuv Bernardo [drums] — have announced their upcoming summer and fall tour plans. The band will embark on a headline tour of the U.S., celebrating the 20th anniversary of their landmark, multi-platinum album Satellite.

The tour kicks off August 14 and runs through October 7 in their native San Diego. From Ashes to New, All Good Things, and Sleep Signals will also appear. All dates are below. Tickets are available here.

“We’ve been touring and working hard for almost 30 years now,” Sandoval says. “It’s all we know. This past year has really made me realize how much I love what I do and how much I appreciate that I am still able to make music and play live for all of those who are still listening. Thank you to all of you who still love live music and can’t wait to be a part of the P.O.D. experience. We can’t wait to see all of your beautiful faces out on the road.”

Curiel shares the sentiment, saying, “It’s been way too long. We are beyond excited to get back to the stage — where we provide the rock and you provide the roll. From familiar faces to new ones, let’s get back to what we’ve all been waiting for. We are ready as a band to create new memories with you all. Let’s do this! Peace, love, light, and rock ‘n’ roll.”

From Ashes to New’s Matt Brandyberry weighed in about the tour, saying, “In 2001, we were literally ‘The Youth of the Nation’ and P.O.D.’s hit was an anthem to so many of us. Satellite was an album that helped shape a genre and will go down as one of the greatest records of that era. We are honored to join them on this U.S. tour to help celebrate 20 years of an absolute masterpiece.”

Additionally, P.O.D. will drop the SATELLITE: 20TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION as a double-CD and digitally on September 3 for $24.98 through Rhino. It is available for pre-order now. Releasing a few days before the album’s official anniversary on September 11, the 27-song collection introduces a newly remastered version of the original album, plus a selection of rarities, remixes, and four previously unreleased demos, including “Alive (Semi-Acoustic Version),” available today. A few weeks later, on October 8, SATELLITE: 20TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION will be released on vinyl as a double-LP as a part of Rhino’s Rocktober campaign.

After debuting at #6 on the Billboard 200SATELLITE went on to sell more than seven million copies worldwide, including three million in the U.S. The record generated four singles: the title track, “Alive,” “Youth of the Nation,” and “Boom.” In addition to its commercial success, Satellite also earned P.O.D. three Grammy nominations for: “Alive” (Best Hard Rock Performance, 2002), “Portrait” (Best Metal Performance, 2003), and “Youth of the Nation” (Best Hard Rock Performance, 2003).

SATELLITE: 20TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION has a bonus disc that includes b-sides like “Critic” and “Sabbath” that were initially released in Europe, plus remixes for “Boom” by The Crystal Method and “Youth of the Nation” by Mike$ki.
